Online Programs

Thanks for all your help and insights throughout this process. I went into it not knowing what to expect-either the usefulness of the Strong or an online qualifying process. Because of my heavy workload, taking a few days off to attend one of your seminars was not an option. I assumed that I would miss the real-time dialog, but your instructional design for the online program was an excellent alternative. The Strong results for myself and “my client” have convinced me of the power of the inventory. I look forward to using it at work and my volunteer work at a local community college.

From my own personal experience, I would say that the program was more challenging than I expected. I’m pretty confident about my ability to learn, and honestly, I didn’t expect it to be quite such a struggle. I realized that for someone of my learning style, who really likes to ask questions and discuss things, especially when something isn’t clear, the online format was difficult for dealing with statistics. An online class that involved examining and discussing my feelings with strangers was a piece of cake! Wondering if I’d actually “gotten it” when I took the quizzes was rather stressful. Good to be out there on a learning edge, though. It pushed me out of my comfort zone a number of times. That’s good!

I would HIGHLY recommend this program to others because: It is complete and professional. You are left with plenty of materials from which to continue your learning in depth. It is a must for helping counselors in career/transition counseling. Though live training is my preference, the online training provided great modules that were clearly explained and provided examples of profiles and interpretative reports to help you learn the material.

I was tempted to just buy the manual and use the SII without going through the qualifying program. I AM SO GLAD I did not. First, it would have been very hypocritical of me.
